Dog Trainer Courses: International
Alpha Canine Professional (Australia) provides short, intensive full-time dog trainer courses for visiting international trainers. The main pre-requisite for all participants is that they are fluent in the English language. The ‘hands-on’ skills and theory taught is universal to all dogs and the focus on all of our courses is the development of relevant skill sets required to become a professional dog trainer.No experience is necessary, just a deep desire to learn about dog behaviour and a passion to handle and train dogs.
The courses are held at the Alpha Boarding Kennels which is both a dog boarding and professional training establishment. All students will be training in a successful boarding and training environment where everyone around them is actively using the techniques being taught in the courses, allowing a valuable first hand look at how effective these training methods can be when applied in real-life situations. This provides a unique learning experience that isn't provided on any other course within our industry.
The facilities include a large, all-weather training arena, a professional classroom for lectures and discussions on canine behaviour and theory, and an indoor canine behaviour shaping and observation complex. There are also many different training areas on the 10 acre property with distractions ranging from other dogs and cats to ducks, sheep and ponies.
Accommodation is available in the surrounding areas (at extra cost) and all transfers can be arranged to and from training each day if required. Airport transfers are also included in the cost of your course.
