Dog Trainer Courses - Full Time

Alpha Canine Professional offers full-time, intensive dog trainer's courses for those looking to enter the dog training industry.

These courses are based on the Canine Leadership System and give new trainers the opportunity to gain experience in their craft as they learn. As with all of our trainer and handler courses, they are held at the Alpha Boarding Kennels where our facilities allow for realistic hands-on training in a professional working environment.

Central to all of the courses is handling and training of many different dogs, applying your skills as you learn them, on real dogs. Training is always supervised, which in itself creates a learning environment that allows the student to ask questions as situations arise and to then receive answers that can be demonstrated in real-time. Your instructors will also handle dogs for added distraction when required and so you can also see the training skills performed correctly at all times. This type of tuition is personal and incredibly effective in teaching realistic techniques that are ultimately based on practical understanding.

One thing to remember about the Canine Leadership System is that it is based on proven dog training methods that really work. There is also the inclusion of the Canine Good Behaviour Shaping System that complements the obedience in ways that have to be seen to be believed. The results are quick and lasting and this can be clearly demonstrated as the course progresses.

All trainer's courses include Practical Canine Theory modules that teach canine behaviour and psychology in an easy to understand manner. When combined with the practical work of actually handling and training dogs, the theory really comes to life. Real depth and credibility is added to the system when the consistent thread of results in both obedience and behaviour shaping starts to literally tie everything together.

Courses can be tailored to suit durations of 10 days to 6 weeks and can cover topics on effective handling and training, Canine Good Behaviour Shaping and customer relations and teaching skills. We will help structure a course that suits your requirements.
