International Courses

Alpha Canine Professional provides intensive, full-time courses for visiting international trainers. The main pre-requisite for all participants is that they are fluent in the English language. The skills and theory taught is universal to all dogs and the focus on all of our courses is true individual development.

Our courses can cater to groups of trainers or can be tailored to the individual trainer. No experience is necessary, just a deep desire to learn about dog behaviour and psychology and a passion to handle and train dogs.

The courses are held at the Alpha Boarding Kennels which is both a dog boarding and professional training establishment. All students will be training in a successful boarding and training environment where everyone around them is actively using the techniques being taught in the courses, allowing a valuable first hand look at how effective these training methods actually are in real life situations.

The facilities include a large, all-weather training arena and a professional classroom for lectures and discussions on canine behaviour and theory. There are also many different training areas on the 10 acre property with distractions ranging from other dogs and cats to ducks, sheep and ponies.

Accommodation is available in the surrounding areas and all transfers can be arranged to and from training each day. Airport transfers are also included in the cost of your course.

Courses can be tailored to suit durations of 10 days to 6 weeks and can cover topics on effective handling and training, Canine Good Behaviour Shaping and customer relations and teaching skills. We will help structure a course that suits your requirements.
